BODi Recipes: Guilt-free Dessert Ideas

If you're anything like us, your sweet tooth can be the undoing for your healthy eating throughout the day! Whether it's having a few too many squares of chocolate after dinner or having one too many slices of cake at work for a coworkers birthday, it can be too easy to over indulge in your favourite sweets! Instead of restricting yourself and cutting them out all together, try one of these delicious, guilt and sugar-free dessert ideas!


Chocolate Brownie "Nice" Cream 



1 can coconut cream

1/4 cup cocoa powder

1/4 cup pure maple syrup or honey

1/4 cup dark chocolate chips  

1/4 cup chopped walnuts



1. Firstly, place a dish in the freezer to chill. Meanwhile, in a blender mix together the coconut cream, cocoa powder, maple syrup until combined, then fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.

2. Pour the mixture into the chilled pan and place in the freezer, mixing every 20-30 minutes to avoid the mixture becoming icy, and thaw before eating if need be. 

3. Serve 1-2 scoops, and enjoy!




Fudgy Brownies


2/3 almond flour

2 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips

2 eggs

5 tbsp coconut oil

1/2 cup of natural sweetener

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/3 cup chopped walnuts

A pinch of himalayan sea salt



  1. Line a baking tin with baking paper and preheat oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Melt together 2/3 cup of dark chocolate chips and coconut oil in a saucepan or in the microwave at 10 second intervals until smooth. 
  3. In a medium bowl, mix together sweetener, eggs and vanilla essence until smooth. Then add in the almond flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and mix well until all combined without any clumps. 
  4. Pour the melted chocolate into the mixture and fold in with the remaining chocolate chips and chopped walnuts, and pour into the lined baking tin.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until just set, let cool for 10 more minutes and then transfer onto a cooling rack. Serve and enjoy!



Lemon Coconut Balls:



1/4 cup cream cheese

1 tsp sour cream

2 tsp fresh lemon juice

1/2 lemon zest

1/2 cup of almond flour

1 tbsp of natural sweetener

1/4 tsp vanilla extract

A pinch of salt

1/4 cup of shredded coconut (to roll the balls in)



1. In a bowl, combine all the ingredients (except the coconut) together until well combined and freeze for 5-10 minutes until firm.

2. Remove from freezer and roll 10 small balls, then coat with coconut and freeze for a further hour.
