With summer officially just around the corner, we're gearing up for long days at the beach, outdoor barbecues and drinks at rooftop bars. While summer can be the best time of the year to get out and about for some much needed vitamin D, a little too much sun can actually come at a cost to our skin. Here are our favourite summer skincare hacks to keep your skin healthy, radiant and hydrated while still making the most of being out in the sun.
Use a tinted moisturiser (with SPF!) instead of heavy foundation to avoid clogging your pores in the heat
Stay hydrated throughout the day! *Tip: Add fresh fruit and lots of ice to make it easier to keep up your water intake!
Use a bronzing lotion or fake tan to give yourself that golden summer glow without any damage from the sun
Use an exfoliating body scrub and hydrating oil at night to stop your skin drying out from the sun
Grow an aloe vera plant, or keep aloe vera gel cool in the fridge to use straight away if you fall asleep in the sun for a little too long
