How To Change Your Approach To Health And Wellness To Be The Happiest Version Of Yourself

Amongst the craziness of everyday life it can be difficult to prioritise health and fitness, however it has been proven that a healthy diet and exercise regime can have a huge impact on our mental health, allowing us to be the happiest, healthiest version of ourselves. Here are just a few simple and attainable ways to change your approach to health and wellness, and in doing so, improve your mindset and mental health.

Develop a morning ritual that works for you. Whether this means getting up early and going to the gym, meditating for 10 minutes, or taking some extra time to sit down and eat breakfast, starting the morning off in a positive way will set you up for the rest of the day.

Work out a balanced diet. We use the term “diet” very loosely here. Instead of starving and depriving yourself of your favourite pasta or dessert after dinner, work on finding a balance to achieve a healthy approach to food. Say you go out for an all-you-can-eat boozy brunch on Sunday, instead of feeling bad about yourself afterwards, head to the gym for a sweat session or try our BODi breakfast and eat as healthy as possible for the next few days (that is until next Sunday brunch rolls around again!).

Find an exercise regime that actually excites you! If the gym buffs intimidate you or you couldn’t think of anything worse than running on a treadmill for an hour, find something that gets you excited and motivated! Try out a Pilates class or go for a walk at sunset, or simply plan out a routine and find a playlist that gets you moving in the gym.

Focus on your mindset as much as your physical health. Make it a daily priority to focus on improving your mindset whether it’s writing a list of all the things you’re grateful for, listening to an uplifting podcast on your way to work or playing with your pet, set aside time in your day to focus on all the positives in your life, leaving the negatives behind.
