How to wear minimal makeup and still look good at the gym!
Most people advise against wearing makeup at the gym as it has the potential to clog your pores. However not all of us are going to be comfortable working up a sweat without a scrap of makeup on! So we’ve got some tips to help prevent a sweaty makeup meltdown – the key is to keep it minimal so that you still look fresh and amazing without clogging your pores.
Waterproof mascara: Mascara is a great way to make your eyes look brighter. Choosing a waterproof brand will help avoid the inevitable panda look that happens when you wipe your eyes with a sweaty palm!
BB cream: Foundation may not be the best choice for the gym as it can be quite heavy and won’t allow your face to breathe. BB cream is a good compromise between wanting some coverage and not wanting it to be obvious that you’re wearing makeup! It’s much lighter than foundation and is super quick and easy to apply.
Eyebrow gel: Don’t bother using an eyebrow pencil before the gym. One wipe of your forehead and you’ll end up with a brown smudge across your head! Keep your brows tidied and tamed with a brow gel. Sometimes it's just the smallest things that make the biggest difference!
Tinted lip balm: Wearing lip gloss at the gym will result in your hair sticking to it with every flick... A tinted lip balm will give your lips a creamy texture with a hint of colour, and it’ll look totally natural.
Dry shampoo: Now we all know that we can use dry shampoo after the gym to rid ourselves of sweaty messy hair but dry shampoo can actually be used to prep our hair for the gym too! If you apply it to your roots before you go to the gym the dry shampoo can absorb the sweat as soon as you start working out! Winning!!
Facial cleansing wipes: Great for using at the end of your session to easily clean your face of sweat and makeup.
